Want to see more pictures of Babette, enjoy a few more. Some kittens and cats are hams - born to be pictured...not afraid of the flash and just seem to pose at any position...so, I enjoy taking their photos. Babette is one of those. She isn't quite show quality - but my goodness, she makes it up in her exquisite chocolate calico coloring and her sweet and loving disposition. She will make gorgeous babies and a wonderful companion.
Babette is almost a mature girl as shown in this picture to the left. I am anxious to see how we can improve on some of her own features by breeding her to Van Gogh. Though Babette is not a show quality Napoleon - she has some great features that I am anxious to weave back into the next generation of Napoleons here at Creators. Not only is Babette's color amazing - an extraordinary chocolate calico with extra "bicolor"....but her coat has a very luxurious silky "rabbit fur" type feel to it - silky and slightly cold to the touch. This rabbit fur type coat keeps the fur from matting. As you can see from this picture - Babette's tail is huge - it looks like a large feather duster! As Napoleon breeders are anxious to jumpstart their programs - many of them forego the importance of this specific coat feature that Babette has....and end up with the very cottony and often tangled coat of the typical Persian cat. Bred to the right male - and Van Gogh will give it the ole' college try - it will be exciting to see what beautiful kittens that Babette will produce.
